The Scottish Lime Centre Trust is a Scottish charity based at Charlestown Workshops in Fife, established in 1994 in response to a shortage of skills and understanding in traditional building technology. It offers building advice, mortar and stone analysis, tailored lime mortar specifications, troubleshooting for conservation, repair and construction projects, and sand and aggregate matching from the largest known collection of currently available sands. The Trust also runs traditional skills training courses, including SQA-accredited masonry conservation.
