Cookie Policy

Last updated: 1 June 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Restorer.com uses cookies and similar technologies on our website

Restorer.com uses a small number of cookies to help the website work properly, protect forms from spam, manage secure WordPress login access, and understand how visitors use the website.

We use Google Analytics cookies only where a visitor has accepted analytics cookies through our cookie consent banner. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, behavioural advertising cookies or cross-site marketing cookies.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember information about your visit, support security features, protect forms from abuse, measure website activity, or provide login functionality.

Some cookies are set directly by Restorer.com. Others are set by third-party services that we use on the website, such as Google reCAPTCHA and Google Analytics.

Types of cookies we use

We currently use the following types of cookies:

  • essential cookies
  • security and anti-spam cookies
  • WordPress login cookies
  • analytics cookies, where accepted by the visitor

Essential cookies

Essential cookies are needed for the website to work properly, keep it secure, protect forms from abuse, or support authorised login access.

These cookies do not require consent because they are used for core site functionality and security.

Cookie name Provider Purpose Duration
wordpress_test_cookie Restorer.com / WordPress Checks whether your browser accepts cookies. Session
wordpress_[hash] Restorer.com / WordPress Used by WordPress to manage authentication for authorised users. Session
wordpress_logged_in_[hash] Restorer.com / WordPress Used by WordPress to remember that an authorised user is logged in. Session

WordPress login cookies

Restorer.com currently only allows login access for authorised users, such as site administrators or approved account holders.

If you are not logging into the website, WordPress login cookies should not normally be set.

When an authorised user logs in, WordPress may set cookies to confirm that the browser accepts cookies, authenticate the logged-in user, and keep the user securely logged in during their session.

These cookies are only used to support secure login functionality.

Google reCAPTCHA cookies

We use Google reCAPTCHA on some forms to help protect Restorer.com from spam, abuse and automated submissions.

When reCAPTCHA is loaded or used, Google may set cookies from the google.com domain. These cookies may include cookies such as:

Google reCAPTCHA helps us check whether a form submission is likely to have been made by a real person rather than an automated bot. This helps keep the website secure and reduces spam.

Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics to help us understand how people use Restorer.com. This gives us basic information about website activity, such as which pages are visited, how visitors move around the website, and whether the site is working as expected.

These cookies are used for website analytics only. We do not use them for advertising, retargeting, behavioural profiling, or cross-site marketing.

Analytics cookies are not essential for the website to work. We only set these cookies where you have accepted analytics cookies through our cookie consent banner.

Cookie name Provider Purpose Duration

If you reject analytics cookies, Google Analytics will not be loaded for your visit.

Advertising and marketing cookies

Restorer.com does not currently use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, behavioural advertising cookies or cross-site marketing cookies.

We do not use cookies to show personalised adverts or to follow visitors across other websites for marketing purposes.

If this changes in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy and ask for consent where required before setting any non-essential cookies.

Managing your cookie preferences

When you first visit Restorer.com, our cookie banner lets you choose whether to accept or reject analytics cookies.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block cookies, delete existing cookies, or receive a warning before cookies are stored.

Please note that blocking essential cookies may affect how parts of the website work, especially forms, spam protection and login areas.

Third-party cookies

Some cookies on Restorer.com are set by third-party services. At the moment, this mainly includes Google services such as Google reCAPTCHA and Google Analytics.

Third-party providers may process information in line with their own privacy and cookie policies.

We may update this Cookie Policy if the cookies or services we use change.

When we make changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
