Hicks Plastering is a lime specialist based at Alves in Moray, working on exposed and hard-to-maintain buildings from individual houses to large heritage projects. Its work covers lime plastering and external lime repair, traditional lime renders and roughcast, lime pointing and stone cleaning. For the Glasgow School of Art at Blairs Steading on the Altyre Estate, the firm was asked by Historic Scotland to replicate the building's unusual original pigmented mussel-shell lime harling. It has also cleaned the Muckle Cross in Elgin.
