Lead It Be is a family-run leadwork specialist founded in 2015 by twin brothers Luke and David Hoskins, who trained on heritage buildings including Hampton Court Palace and Dover Castle. It undertakes traditional and sandcast leadwork on listed buildings and churches, including bay roofs, dormers, domes and turrets, cappings and cornices, flashings, gutters and valleys. From its own workshop it fabricates lead pipes, hoppers and decorative castings, and uses 3D scanning to reproduce historic ornamental leadwork. The firm won Murdoch Awards in 2024 and 2025, including for restoring the ornamental lead gutters of Wakehurst House.
